Blackberry Lily is originally from Russia, China and Japan. It can be found in Virginia as well for the past couple hundred years. This plant inspired me when I saw it in Mason Neck state park and I decided to capture its ripe beauty. The berries aren't edible, but look delectable. The original painting was displayed at the Native Plants of Virginia Symposium George Mason University through PWAS.
